Stac and I were thrilled to take a trip way down South to Barbados in August to experience Sandals Barbados and the brand new Sandals Royal Barbados. We were welcomed by the management team and staff as well as other travel advisers to tour the properties, find out what’s new with Sandals and experience BARBADOS!
Barbados is cool like Rihanna! No really… think modern Caribbean meets down home meets luxury! And the Barbadians, I mean Bajans completely agree - they are a very proud nation as they should be! I mean they created rum for crying out loud, my favorite quote from the trip — “Drinking rum before 10am doesn’t make you an alcoholic - it makes you a pirate!” We can all be pirates in Barbados!

Sandals Barbados and Sandals Royal Barbados are sister resorts situated right next door to each other (only separated by a sidewalk). Whether you want to be in a quiet swim up on the Barbados side or Millionaire Sky Pool Oceanfront Butler Suite on the Royal side everyone at both resorts has the run of the place! Guests staying at either resort have full access to all pools, hot tubs, restaurants and bars at both resorts! What is the difference? Sandals Barbados is slightly older and the price point is lower while the Royal side is brand new built from the ground up with all of the innovations Sandals could think up. Endless choices for every style, preference and budget.
Speaking of Innovations, Sandals in Barbados has it ALL! And I mean, everything! From an amazing white sand beach and crystal blue Caribbean waters(with waves - for us South Carolina girls), brand new Global Gourmet concept restaurants like Chi - Asian Fusion (MUST DO - get that reservation), Bombay - Indian Cuisine, Soy - Sushi, American Tavern - Southern Gourmet, Butch’s Chophouse and Sweet and Salty Doughnut shop…just to name a few! Also all the Sandals classic favorites like the Jerk Shack, Dino’s Brick Oven Pizzeria, Merry Monkey English Pub, Portofinos Italian, and seaside open air dining like Mariners and Schooners for seafood! 18 Dining Venues, you will definitely need a detox when you leave, but that is what vacation is all about!
Sandals really stepped up their game in Barbados with a bowling alley, interactive gaming. glass-front infinity pool, roof-top bar and infinity pool and they also wanted to give the treat the men at the Clip Yard Barbershop!
